Hide Idle Time Is it possible to hide how long I've been idle for from other users either from a customer side or server side modify?

No this is non possible, the idle time is visible for anybody and information technology is no security reason.

Information technology would be a dainty choice every bit admin to hide this info from groups of our option, in a future release.
There are times when I would rather non take users know my idle time.

Why, I don't get the point. I retrieve it is important to know if someone is just idle for some minutes and may come back soon, or is already idle since hours.

I don't go the point what it matters why. Every bit a server admin, with all the flexibility that this fine programme offers united states of america, what is 1 more than permission to mask this info if we choose?
I retrieve it is important to exist able to do things in my server equally admin, while in AFK status, without receiving letters from others to the effect of "I know your at that place, I run into your idle fourth dimension" when that person has no real problem and does not demand to know I am there unless I choose to allow them to know.
I realize there are permissions to control messages and pokes but the ability to appear AFK while watching and moderating multiple servers anonymously, which sometimes requires actions that reset my idle time is desired and gives me greater privacy as admin on my ain servers.

If someone write this to me, I would just respond: "But that doesn't mean that I have to answer you!"

If you put all suggestions together, it would double the corporeality of permissions

Why not Stefan?
Currently nosotros have well-nigh 233 (!) permissions in TS3 (+ same amount Grant Values!), so good idea to double information technology up
Why non create a channel and fix a higher needed_subcription_power for it, and then once inside, noone tin can "encounter" you or your idle time?

I never wrote that I'1000 against all suggestions. I just wrote that I could empathise the developers, if they don't want it

That works unless they already opened a window for your connection info before you ran to hibernate.

I disabled individual message/poke confronting server admins from guests, merely allows offline letters and emails. I notice folks are a lot politer when they send offline messages
I'd like the ability to be invisible so people won't annoy me. But this suggestion has been posted before by someone else and has been rejected. Then I won't hold my breath to it.
I gauge some other workaround is to prohibit all communications, and install a web script to do an imitation of "ticket system".

In different manner of describing what does it do, and what does user want, while "I desire to be invisible".Create aqueduct called Admins, and then set up channel permissions(right click menu on channel) make sure to set
Aqueduct
- Access
- - Needed Aqueduct Bring together power 75
- - Needed Channel Subsrcibe power 75
- - Needed Aqueduct View Description power 75
Now everytime you volition be in that channel noone will encounter you on server(because they can not expect into that channel).assuming that this loftier powers is at your server also reserved to Server Admin group : You.
If that doesn't practice what y'all wanted/specified in that post, PM me, I am sure it works.

While I appreciate anybody'southward input, I attribute part of the success of my teamspeak servers to how nice and helpful I am with the members so a rude reply would non be prudent, as is ignoring them if they run into I am in fact online. As for the permission system being hard for a new user to empathize, I aspect that to them declining to take the time to search these forms and reading the documentation. Personally I am very pleased with the ease and functionality of Teamspeak 3.

Tomas actually has the solution but when I tried that previously, when guests continued to the server, it displayed a bulletin in the main tab that the person had subscribed to all channels, but one aqueduct was hidden. I actually had i person notice that and ask me about the hidden aqueduct and what it was for, somewhat defeating my attempt at anonymity.
The rc-1 client changelog mentioned an update in the style aqueduct subscriptions piece of work so I tested this option over again and it now seems to not reproduce that bulletin that a channel was hidden. For this, you can marker this thread as "Resolved".
Tomas, I exercise take one question though. What does "Needed Channel View Clarification power" have to do with what were talking about. It is my agreement this just hides the info that is in the description box (edit channel) when a user tries to view the channel.

Yes, your assumption is correct. Since it is channel chosen "Admins" you might place some non-public data about servers/uptime/links to forum that is also not to be linked everywhere..... or any private notes either related to that ts3 server or not it is upwardly to you.
